EIP CD35 commercial dehumidifier needs work
I have an EIP CD35 commercial dehumidifier. It is better than your $200.00 box store dehumidifiers. Sold new for around $1,000.00 in the 1990s, possibly worth around 600 - 800 now. Hadn’t run for a few years, although the fan and compressor run, the coils did not get cool. I installed a bullet valve and charged it with R134a. Now the coils ice/frost up. I may have over charged the refrigerant or not enough refrigerant, or maybe there is a blockage? I would much rather repair this unit than buy one from H.D. or Lowes that will die in two years..
I can bring the unit to you, it is small, I am in Averill Park NY.
What would it cost to check for leaks or obstruction, evacuate it, install a proper valve, and charge it properly?
