Dell XPS L502X laptop. It's an old system running Windows 7 Ultimate. Great if you want to run legacy software. I've been using it for Windows Media Center plus surveillance camera paired with Chrome Remote Desktop to watch local TV, acess my media and watch live surveillance camera from anywhere in the world. You can also run Linux on it. It might be too old to run Windows 11, though I've never tried.
Battery still holds charge for about 30 minutes.
Issues:
- Plugging a HDMI cable sometimes causes blue screen of death. I narrowed the problem to the NVIDIA GPU which I disabled and laptop now runs perfectly on the Intel Graphics Card. It does have a mini-display port which I have never used and I'm not sure if that also runs off the Nvidia or the Intel GPU.
- Speakers rattle
- Occasionally a blue line appears on the right side of the screen when opening the lid but goes away if you pinch the screen
- It's running Windows 7 Ultimate which is not activated (everything still works ok, there's just a notification.) It does have a genuine Windows 7 premium key on the back of the laptop (you can download a Win 7 Pro ISO.)
Other than that, everything else works ok. Asking for $45 only. You can pick it up from Clarksville, or depending on day and time, we can meet somewhere in the Tri-City. I'll have the laptop charged for you to test it.
