Leica M3 body, serial #1057485, now at a reduced price of $1,700. Widely considered one of the best cameras Leica has ever made, this example was manufactured in 1962. It is missing small bits of vulcanite in places, but is in excellent mechanical condition.
Renowned for its super bright rangefinder, the single-stroke M3 offers precise focusing with lenses such as the 50mm Dual Range Summicron. (Please see the adjoining ad for that lens.) It is compatible with every Leica M lens (1954-today), and with a simple adapter, compatible with every screw-mount lens (1933-today).
The M3 features ultrasmooth, quiet, solid and precise mechanics, making it a joy to use.
