…..for compatible groovers tired of the cover band bar gig scene, but still not wanting to hang it up. (No disrespect if that's what you do, that's where the $ is).
Retired, got time (flexible), got gear, got skills, got dynamics, got improv ability. Previous band of four years decided to disband.
Semi acoustic Americana, alt-country twang, smoldering Chicago (or British) Blues, heady Dark Star(ish) mind melters, (melodic) jazzy excursions, gritty "hittin' the note" jams, old hippie rock chestnuts, originals. Anything organic, creative, tasty, soul satisfying.
Knots:
Not looking to do paint by numbers classic rock or top 40 covers for bar gigs. BTDT.
No insane volume.
If you indulge, please be able to remain competent and likable.
I do not have vocal or harmony ability.
Weekend barn jams with friends, veterans benefits, family or biker parties. Gigs okay if the venue fits what we do, not my primary motivation.
I have a small ground level, heated, carpeted room that could accommodate up to 4, if moderate volume (Sar. Spr.). Not a studio.
Will drive 45-50 minutes. Willing to bring gear to your set up.
Willing to play with another drummer. I also have a full Latin perc set up, and am also experienced as a percussion player. I have gigged as both drums and percussion. Links available.
Individuals looking for kindred spirits, existing bands looking for an extra piece. No gig demands, don't need to have Warren Haynes on speed dial.
Just looking for fun, reasonably talented easy going song based jammers (any age) that still want to play, even if to stave off burnout, impending stroke, world insanity.....
If anything here is of interest, text or call and leave message (I don't answer unknown calls....) to contact # and we'll set up a conversation.
