Bass player in his 50's with about 20+ years of gigs under his belt. Self-taught, able to maintain a rhythm with the drummer. Not a virtuoso like Billy Sheehan, Flea, Robert DeLeo or anyone of that caliber. But on most songs, I can provide pretty decent backing harmony vocals that I try to make true to the original recording.
My current, multi-year project ended, and I am trying to find another band to play with. Can be an established one looking for a replacement, a start up with seasoned musicians wanting to get out there and play, or even an acoustic player looking for some low end to do a duo with harmonies instead of a vocal processor.
Only limitations are I prefer not to play too often, maybe once a month on average, or once in a while more than that. Also not really into doing some of the overplayed songs like Mustang Sally, etc. But should anyone be interested, that can be discussed further if an audition is arranged.
Have played everything from classic rock, to 80s, 90's alternative, and some modern rock. Have a song list of probably over 200 covers I have played in the past 20+ years. Gigged at venues from dive bars, to festivals and fundraisers, to places with over 1,000 people.
Stable of gear is relatively new, in good condition and reliable (basses. amps, mics, etc.). As an older, responsible adult with a career, no substance abuse issues, etc.. Just enjoy playing music and the connection it makes with the audience and within the band. Just trying to get some more playing time in before I hang it all up for good.
