Established local (Albany/Troy-based) band is looking for drummer for live performances and possible recording. About 85% original material, and covers are generally pretty obscure, so, this is not a financial opportunity, more an opportunity to play music with some cool folks who have either studied music seriously or have played with bands for a while so there is a bar of experience or musical knowledge we're looking for, but it's not like ELP or anything. Good handle on fills a big plus! The original material is perhaps most similar to Sparks (early and some 80s period), Ziggy-era Bowie, T Rex. Glam/garage/post-punk type material. If interested I'll just send you all the stuff out there on the band, but I'm a little self-conscious putting it in this posting. We are all experienced players, and ideally someone with live rock drumming will respond to this.

The ideal person would be nice/polite, enthusiastic, reliable (there is a drum set already in practice space, but you could use whatever you are most comfortable with). People with a knack for some showmanship are definitely welcome! (We also welcome diverse individuals and discourage people who harbor bigotry, although we're not all SJW about this, just don't want to find ourselves in this situation.) This is a fun band, so being nice and enthusiastic is a pretty important personality trait when joining this group, we're not moody brooders, but not necessarily obnoxiously joyous. Alright I think you get the idea. Hit me up if this sounds interesting to you, you don't have to audition or anything but we can send what we have and if you have anything that would be cool too, then maybe we can talk about getting together to give it a shot in a rehearsal. I know there's some cool people out there who would be a good fit for this group, so hopefully this works out. Thanks for reading!
