Gibson made Recording King carved top 16” archtop guitar from 1938 or 1939 with original Geib hard shell case. Same dimensions as the early Gibson L-5 and later L-4. Recording King was one of several other brands Gibson sold during the depression era and the only one of these with a solid carved spruce top. Has a non-adjustable steel truss rod, attractive maple back (laminated) and sides, rosewood fingerboard, fan inlays. Great sound and playability, recent refret. Has some scratches and wear but really looks good. Asking $2700, cash, will not ship, please ask questions.
