These small wearable art brooches were created using Friendly Plastic, a thermoplastic modeling material, popular in the 1990s for making jewelry. It is known for its high-gloss, metallic, and iridescent surfaces, often used to mimic materials like dichroic glass, but lightweight enough for even the thinnest blouse. Each unique piece was made by hand by E. S. The top brooch is 2-3/8“ x 1-7/8”. The bottom brooch is 1-7/8” x 1-1/2“. Both are in excellent vintage condition – no chips or cracks. Asking $12 for both, or $7 for the larger, and $6 for the smaller. (A similar brooch sold out on the Consignment Mixer website for $12 plus shipping & sales tax. See last photo.)
