Vintage Molded GLASS FIGURAL CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS - Collection of 4
These ornaments were painted originally, but the heat/cold from storing in the attic for years caused the mercury (inside) to oxidize and the paint (outside) to wear away. They are all still beautiful pieces and ever so delicate! The ornaments show signs of age, including loss of the metallic silvering inside the glass, surface debris, and patina on the metal hanger caps.
This collection of vintage molded glass Christmas ornaments likely dating from the early to mid-20th century.
The delicate, blown-glass ornaments are often referred to as "figural" ornaments, featuring shapes like a character in a moon or a Santa Claus figure. This type ornament was frequently imported from Germany or Japan, especially prior to the 1950s, and were often made with lead-based materials and are highly collectible.

It has"silvering" loss and paint wear, which is typical for its age.
