I am posting as a case manager for a permanent supportive housing program based out of Albany. We have clients who we need to find apartments for. Our clients are formerly homeless due to a variety of reasons. We have a small network of landlords we currently work with but are looking to expand that as we have recently acquired additional funding to be able to provide more housing vouchers to our clients.

As a landlord who works with our program, you benefit from timely and consistent rent payments made directly to you from us, not the client! We pay you the full rent and the client in turn pays us 30% of their income. We perform monthly inspections of the apartment and continue working with the clients to get them enrolled in whatever services they need to maintain their housing and improve the quality of their lives. The initial move in expenses (first and security) will come from social services but after that we pay you the rent on a monthly basis for the duration of the lease.
All that we ask of landlords in our network is to fill out a W-9, fill out any additional paperwork necessary by our program and social services and be understanding of issues that may arise with our clients. We act as liaisons between the client and you and work hard on those rare instances when issues do arise. At this time our housing vouchers can only be used in either Albany and Rensselaer county. We prefer studio, 1 or 2 bedroom units that include all utilities but can work with units that do not include utilities. The maximum amount we are able to pay for rent for a unit that includes utilities is $850 and for one without is $750.
At this time we have two clients who are in need of housing but this is expected to increase rapidly with the additional funding we have received. For any additional questions or to set up a viewing with one of our case managers please reach out via the CL reply email.
