We’re hiring a personal trainer / coach at The Well Functional Fitness
This role starts with a paid internship where you’ll learn how we coach before taking on clients.
This is not a big-box gym. No selling memberships. No random workouts.
We run a semi-private training model built around individualized programming and real coaching.
The Internship (Paid):
You’ll be trained to coach the way we do:
-Movement quality and exercise form
-Coaching cues that actually improve lifts
-Our training systems and progressions
-How to assess clients (goals, limitations, movement patterns)
-How to build real client relationships on the floor
-Addressing injuries and coaching appropriate corrective exercises
You’ll start by observing, assisting, and gradually coaching under supervision.
You’ll transition into a coaching role where you:
-Provide real-time coaching to several clients at once, each at different stages of their program, with different goals.
-Provide hands-on cueing and progression
-Help clients move better, get stronger, and stay consistent
Bonus / Additional Opportunity:
-Experience teaching fitness classes or yoga is a plus
-Opportunity to lead a weekly yoga, mobility or fitness class (ideal for someone with that background) $30-$50 depending on attendance.
-Bonus for new client referrals

Compensation:
-Paid internship $16 hr
-Coach $20+ hr
