Looking to connect with local artists, movers, ( dancers - or moving company movers!) and anyone interested in the intersection of physical space, everyday routines, dance music and live art.
We are starting a relaxed, grassroots group to explore what could be called
Somatics of Experience -
translating our daily postural routines, corporate gestures, and spatial awareness into collective outdoor choreography and public performance concepts.
Our influences span a wide and beautifully absurd spectrum: post-modern task-structures, spatial mindfulness, and a healthy dose of razor-sharp humor with community contributions to shared choreography
Whether you are a seasoned contemporary dancer, an experimental artist, or someone completely new to somatic movement who just wants to explore the park through a different lens, you are welcome here. Twirlers, drummers to the top!
We are setting both the lowest and highest bars for performance—this is a pressure-free space for fun, experimentation and meta-movement discourse!
We will meet weekly at a
or probably at roving
local Capital Region parks
