I believe that the chair was used as a demo since it has a base on it and is labeled as a Custom Sample by the Irwin Seating Company.
Overall the chair is fair/good shape. There are no rips in the fabric, but the red has faded. The wood handles and backing have some water damage that may be sanded and stained out.
Has base on it which would help to protect your floor.
