20' Old Town Wood Canoe. Canoe number 175758.
The last photo shows the original built sheet for this canoe.
As you can see it was built in 1966 and shipped on 1/25/67 to Cranford Boat & and Canoe Co., Cranford, N.J.
The build sheet shows it was canvassed on Feb. 24, 1966.
Between the time it was new and I acquired it the canvas had been removed and replaced with fiberglass.
I acquired this canoe about 35 years ago and it has been in complete dry storage since.
I recently restored it and it is absolutely beautiful as the photos show.
The hull has 2 coats of Interlux Primer Pre-Kote and 3 Coats of Interlux Brightside Polyurethane single part enamel.
The decks and gunwales are finished with Mohagany stain and Marine Spar Varnish.
I invested countless hours of sanding between each coat of stain, primer and paint. It's gorgeous.
