Henry Francis Du Pont was an avid collector of wallpapers from the 17th, 18th, & 19th centuries. Many of the wallpapers from the collection were reproduced in the 20th century. I have 2 sets of these handprinted architectural murals.
There are two panels in each set. Each is 27 inches wide, or 54 inches total. There is approximately 3 feet of blank paper at the top, and 3 feet at the bottom for adjustment. The printed part is about 8 or 8 1/2 feet tall which can be adjusted as necessary. The panels can be hung in a corner, or on a flat surface between doors or windows, or incorporated with other papers. They are very beautiful.
It is not easy to photograph these panels and I was unable to get the full length as I was working alone. The last photo is a working factory mockup printed on acetate.
