This is a Singer Model 201-2 sewing machine.
It is widely considered by collectors to be one of the finest straight-stitch domestic machines ever produced.
The machine features a direct gear-driven "potted" motor, which makes it very smooth and quiet compared to belt-driven models.
It has all-steel internal components and a high-quality rotary hook system.
The 201-2 was built as a higher-end machine and is known for its stability and ability to handle various fabrics.
No power cord or foot pedal but the mahine worked when we borroed a cord.
