Published by Baldwin, Craddock, and Joy, who bought the original plates in 1818 (Boydell Sale)

Wood frame with accents of black and matted under glass.
Frame measures approximately: 25 5/8" width x 31 1/8" height
Matte opening measures approximately: 15" width x 20 1/4" height

William Hogarth (1697 - 1764) was known for his humor and satire; he used art as moral commentary. He also fought for the 1735 Engraver's Act (also known as Hogarth's Act), a copyright law.

Some warping of the matte on the left. Smeared spot on the left. Please see the photos for condition.
