3 piece Set of Two "Fern" Vases and one bowl by John Marshall & Co. This Pitcher and vase set with matching bowl is from the mid to late 1800's and was from the B'ouesse Pottery in Scotland. The Set originally both belonged to my GREAT-grandmother who bought them in the late 1800s. She brought them over from Scotland to Canada with her during her immigration to Canada. Then, my Grandmother immigrated to America in the late 20's and when her mother died in Canada in the 1980's, my grandmother returned home and took with her some items of her mothers from the farm in Sherbrook, Quebec back down to NY with her in a car driven by her husband . The vase set has been here in my family now for over one hundred years and there is not a piece like it to be found anywhere. The "Fern" mark referred to the unique patented pattern that was used by the pottery on certain pieces. As you can see, this is a matching set. These are family heirlooms from Scotland, They are in great shape, kept very securely. On the bottom of both vases you see the mark of J.M.& Co. There is a fix that was done years ago in the upper lip of the larger vase , almost unnoticeable. This matching set will command an even greater price as the years go on and is a great addition to an Antique pottery collection or even your first piece for a collection as well. It is the only set like it in existence. If your interested , contact me at Craigslist email relay and I'll respond within a day or two
