Felt embroidered felt top amassed with Edelweiss flowers from the region.
The red bird on the front under "TYROL" is the Austrian coat of arms.
The bottom is a knitted to fit securely on the head.
This hat has been carefully packed away for decades in the family trunk. It was most likely a gift from military cousins who lived in the region in the 1960s. It is like new and the stretch works fine.
TYROL is a picturesque mountainous region in western Austria and northern Italy.
