This is a new, unused, Rheem Marathon Heavy Duty MR105245 water heater. It has dual 4500 watt elements although elements are available down to 3,000w. I worked for Marathon at one time and had a number of these we used for display. I kept this one just in case as I use several for storage on hot water solar systems I have at both my house and shop. Although this one would not have a warranty, these units are sold with a LIFETIME warranty which gives you and idea of their longevity. The three installed on solar hot water systems in my shop and house are all 20 years old and working great.They are awesome for both solar and geothermal applications, anytime you want storage with VERY little heat loss and obviously as a stand alone water heater. They only lose about 3F every 24 hours! I am getting old enough now I know I will not be doing any changes or upgrades so putting it up for sale. All current Rhemm/Marathon parts fit. Depending on who is selling it may be sold as MRG105245 or MRHD105245 and others. It currently sells for $2,252 at Home Depot. These are NSF rated too so can be used in commercial applications and also great for dairys or high moisture areas due to plastic shell with no water enty points.
