He loves showers under the faucet in the kitchen sink. He loves to be on your shoulder. He has never bitten me. I say he because he has never laid an egg in the 3 yrs I have had him. i just wanted to say that i love my chihuahua so much and i could never get rid of her. if i had to choose between a place to live that doesn't take pets or being homeless, i would become homeless before i got rid of her. she's my best friend and my companion. she can't wait for me to get home from work so she can run and jump and shower me with kisses. she'll be three in february and she just saw her first snow today.(we lived in floriida when she was younger). it's too bad that people have to choose, but not me, i won't live without her. thank you god for my friend chi chi. here is a picture of when she was about 4 months old and a picture of what she looks like now. i think she's beautiful. a lot of people think she's a huskie pup. please post some pics of your beautiful pets, something we can be thankful for at christmas time.

45 pounds (he is a mix, so dont' worry he's not an overweight beagle)

He has so much energy and I just cant' offer him the attention he needs.
Loves to play outside, not fixed, just got all of his shots last week (rabies, etc).

I would like to re-home him with a family that can train him and give him lots of love and attention.

I got a puppy last year for my daughter for only a $50 rehoming fee. He did not have his first shots done so I had to go get them done. They only cost $60 for the first shots at the vet. People keep posting on here that they are charging $300, $400, $500 for puppies saying that oh we got their first shots done and the cost of feeding them. To me the rehoming fees should be what you paid for the shots and a little extra for the caring of the dogs. People on here are just trying to get money and don't care one little bit for the dogs.

I don't think anyone owns it, but there is a black what looks to be a chow or a chow mix running around Victory Mills, more so at night. The dog does not seem to be friendly as it growled and barred it's teeth at me when I stopped my car. If someone owns this dog there are leash laws, and i'm tired of dodging the damn thing every night so I don't hit it on my way home from work. So if someone does own this dog I suggest you put him inside where he belongs because I'm calling animal control. You said that you've had her ON AND OFF since she was 5 months old so how on earth are you providing any kind of consistent training or consistent routine for her? Where has she been for the other 6 months, when you haven't had her ? When housebreaking an animal, they have to have a structured , CONSISTENT schedule. I know this is a dumb question to ask you , given the impression you've left me with, but has it ever occured to you that her problem may also be physical? Have you bothered to bring her to a vet to rule out the possiblity of a medical issue? Of course you haven't. You are the type of person who ruins good dogs, then blames the animal for being dumb.

Take the offer from rescue and let them take in your dog and find a suitable home for him. Great Pyr's are great dogs but they are not for everybody and the new home should be carefully selected and screened. You don't want to set up your dog for failure by placing him with an inexperienced owner or the wrong family.

If it does not work out, rescue will take him back and try again. Can you guarantee that? Great Pyrenees Rescue in this area is highly respected for the work they do.

BTW - a friend had a gentle, big dog years ago. On a hot summer day, the neighbor's son came over and tried to ride on him. The dog bit him. Well, guess what - the dog was put to sleep. Whose fault do you think it was?

I just took Bolo for a long walk and I have no idea why he is still here. At only 36 pounds he is a petite little gentleman! He pulls a little on the leash, but that is because he is so happy to be out of his cage and all you have to do is touch him and he freezes in hopes of being pet! When I sat down he politely put his front paws on my knees again expecting love.

So I have been seeing a low life walking a poor dog around the neighbor hood that has OBVIOUSLY BEEN in MULTIPLE dog fights. The dog is a pitbull (Am. Staff. Terrier), beautiful gray --limping on one leg, has half her ear and multiple infected wounds on her head and body. This scumbag was confronted by two older women who told him the dog needed to see a vet , he told them that the dog had fell down the stairs ( unbelievable since she wasnt old or frail) I overheard the conversation, then spoke to the women, they knew also that this poor dog had been in a fight, mean while the man is dragging the dog down the street yelling at the dog demanding it to walk faster. I AM HEARTBROKEN. I saw which direction he went, but I dont know whr this scum livs and I also dont know who to report this to so when I see him again I can can call also. I was told by these women that they called animal control on a home nearby bcause they have a dog in its cage down by the river all day in the cold,and animal control did nothing for the dog(not sure if this is also one of the scum's dogs) _ IF YOU HAVE ANY INFORMATION OR HAVE SEEN THIS PERSON YOURSELF PLEASE HELP> this dog looks so sad, and in much pain. Not mean at all, just probably starved and used for fighting, her skin was sagging.

Before adopting a Great Pyrenees please do some research on the breed. They should never ever be ridden by small children or anyone for that matter and while they can be good with kids. This is a VERY unique breed with VERY UNIQUE characteristics. please please please research the breed before adopting. Great Pyrenees to a good home with small adoption fee. He is a big dog and so needs room. He loves the indoors, however. He might like outside, but he usually prefers inside here. His breed (and him) are very mellow dogs and are very good around children. First I would never put my dog up for adoption/rehoming. He was a commitment I made when I CHOOSE to get him! But for what ever reason someone can't keep their pet and must re-home their pet.....I think a contract is a great idea!! If you knew someone to take your pet you wouldn't be on Craig list trying to unload them! So you have no idea who is going to take your pet and what they plan on doing with them. Are you thinking you're sending you pet to a "good home" when really they are going to turn around and sell it for profit in 3 months....are you sending your dog to be bait in a dog fighting ring....that person who just took you cat has a twisted cat torture secret?? You just NEVER know do you??? So a contact is great!!

If someone wasn't will to sign a contract...I wouldn't let them take my pet...what are they trying to hide! There is a reason why several groups are trying to get it so that Craigs list can't list animals on the site...it's just too easy for a good pet to end up in the wrong hands!!

I believe contracts can be a good thing but they can also be horribly wrong too. For instance The new owner has to feed the dog the exact same dog food you have fed if not you will remove the pet. That is a little wack if you ask me.

A contract is Good if say the new owner/owners decide they no longer want to keep the pet, Than the ex-owner be contacted to see if they want the pet returned to them. Or if the pet is not fixed contract states pet is not to be used for breeding purposes, only as a family pet. The new owner needs to have the pet spayed/neutered in certain amount of time (If its a puppy).

For a contract to state the new owner keep in contact with ex-owner for the life of the pet or what have you is a little over dramatic. Or picture updates. I mean yes some think of their pets as a family members but really once you release the pet in the new owners arms. Its no longer you pet. Its theirs. If you feel the need to be contacted with annual updates I suggest then you keep your pet and update yourself. I dont know of anybody who would ever take those types of contracts into consideration.

My family is looking to adopt a female long haired kitty up to 2 years old... color is not important (although we prefer her to not be solid black).
