Are you interested in tasting wine, eating cheese, and meeting new people? Then consider joining the Young Winos of Upstate New York! Based in the Albany area, Young Winos of Upstate New York is a new FREE wine tasting club FOR BEGINNERS between the ages of 21 and 29 that want to hang out and have a good time while learning about wine. The official East Coast affiliate of the famous Young Winos of LA in Los Angeles, Young Winos of Upstate New York is facilitated by one of the founding members of the LA wine club. Members meet once every two weeks at a host’s home to taste and discuss different types of wine, but in a social setting rather than a traditional class or lecture, so it’s actually fun. Each member is asked to bring a bottle of wine to share based on the type being tasted that week (such as Pino Noir or Merlot) valued at around $10, and cheese and crackers is usually provided by the host.
