Part-Time (Evening & Weekend) Servers (Scotia/Glenville)
OVERALL JOB PURPOSE
To serve meals to residents' tables, following company procedures, in a courteous and friendly manner.
MINIMUM JOB QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Ability to present meal alternatives to residents and guests.
Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
Customer service orientation.
General knowledge of sanitation and safe food‐handling practices.
Effectively communicate in English with residents and other employees.
Must demonstrate high standards of ethics and personal accountability.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Greet residents/guests at each table and serve beverages, cereals, and soups/salads from cart.
Return cart to Kitchen area; assist with storing perishable items.
Courteously review the menu of the meal being served and take residents' orders.
Serve meals and desserts.
Bus, clear dishes from tables and reset.
Follow proper sanitizing procedure for cleaning tables and chairs.
Vacuum carpets, etc.
Complete side work--fill sugar holders, replenish creamers, clean coffeemaker, etc.
Deliver trays to resident rooms as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
May be assigned to any other job function in the community on a relief basis.
OTHER JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform all work assigned for the agreed‐upon wage, accepting no additional payment or nonperishable gifts from residents, vendors, Management, or others.
Meet the assigned work‐hour requirements of the job. Regular attendance is required.
Ability to keep all business and operations information confidential.
Desire and ability to be a team player.
