What is a Prescription Drug Savings or Discount Card?
A: Prescription drug discount cards (also known as "consumer cards," "point of sale cards," and "100% co-pay" cards), allow prescription drug users to save money on all types of prescription medications. At the time of purchase, members simply present their card at a participating pharmacy to instantly receive substantial discounts on their prescription drugs. It's that easy.
Q: How do Prescription Drug Savings Cards work?
A: Prescription Drug Savings cards contain special computerized instructions that can be read by the pharmacy's computer, similar to an ATM card. When the card information is entered, the price on the prescription is discounted based on the pharmacy's agreement with our program. This type of cutting-edge technology all ows consumers to save money without encountering any hassles on the checkout line.
Q: Who Needs a Prescription Drug Discount Card?
A: Any individual with limited or no prescription drug coverage can benefit from a prescription drug savings card. Instead of paying full price for medication, card members can save money whenever they purchase prescription drugs. People who already have insurance coverage may still find the card useful, as it can discount medications that are not covered by their health plan. Q: Why don't all pharmacies accept the card?
A: All chain pharmacies and most independent pharmacies have been given equal opportunity to serve you via this program. Pharmacies are required to offer very deep discounts and assist in performing some fairly complicated drug management procedures on behalf of our card holders, and some pharmacies simply refuse. However that gives you the confidence of knowing that pharmacies participating have your best interests in mind.

I'm interested in getting together with others to discuss "The Words" in a positive way. Please no 'organized religious' folks out to convert people or folks who want to argue about religion. Rather I'd like to meet to discuss 'The Words'; how to live it out in our lives and with others in our day, right here where we are.
Please note -this has NOTHING to do with a denominational church, house church or any kind of organized religion in any way. Also, please note: I am NOT the author of either website (nor do I know him) - I'm just an average guy seeking others of like mind, who have read "The Words" and believe them.
How We Met
We met two and a half years ago after getting in touch through an Internet dating site. We can still remember that first face to face meeting at a coffee shop around the corner from where we now live. We realized early on that as two educators we had much in common! At the time Adam was a special education teacher who wanted to study counseling, and Chris was a counselor who wanted to study special education. We both passionately believe in trying to understand child development and things that can get in the way of children learning. From the beginning we discussed raising a family through adoption.
We have no doubt that we have established a strong foundation for ourselves that will last forever. It seems we each have strengths that make up for the other’s weaknesses. Chris appreciates that Adam can make her laugh and not take life too seriously. Adam is grateful that Chris has the ability to help focus his energies on making his dreams a reality.
Adam Through Chris’s Eyes
Adam is a warm hearted and gregarious person. He is the kind of guy who takes everything in stride and is not in the least bit judgmental. He constantly puts himself into situations that might be really difficult for other people, but he doesn’t even hesitate if he believes it will help someone. He wears his adoration on his sleeve and is very romantic and affectionate. Adam is a very loving and devoted husband and I am positive that any child will be the apple of his eye. Children naturally gravitate towards Adam as he gets down and dirty in his play—he is the first one to go splashing around the water or engage in some other move that leaves children shrieking with delight. Adam really wants a family, in a way that is rare to see in your typical guy. While some people aspire to fame or fortune, Adam has always wanted a wife and children. Achieving that will be what he will consider his greatest feat. He feels his task in life is to be a dad and a husband. Those things will make him feel complete, content and at peace.
We live in the community near where Adam teaches, and we are constantly running into his current or former students. They are always eager to stop and share a piece of their life with him. You can tell from those interactions that he serves as a role model to his students. His commitment to his students does not necessarily end with graduation. He visits former students in the hospital when they are sick or helps them with their college applications. He is one of those rare individuals who really cares about other people’s welfare.
Adam is also a very smart person, though he doesn’t always see that in himself (Proof: he
recently slaughtered my family in a game of trivial pursuit!). It is precisely this humbleness that is another one of his very endearing qualities. He is someone who can be counted on. Solid. Loyal. Willing to pitch in where necessary. To do whatever. From helping me bake cookies to shoveling out cat pooh from the litter box, Adam is happy to oblige. When something in life has me feeling overwhelmed, Adam is always there with a hug, a kiss, or a supportive phrase. I always think he looks his best in a warm and fuzzy sweater, perhaps because I see it as a metaphor for the way that having Adam in my life leaves me feeling like I am being embraced by something tender and reassuring. His sincerity, kindheartedness and desire to try and ease the burden of others are what I admire most. I love him.
Chris Through Adam’s Eyes
Chris is everything that I am not. We are perfect compliments of each other. Chris knows how to get things done. Even in writing this book, I am contributing my ideas but Chris is putting it all together so we can move forward. She is very detail oriented. Chris really cares about the important people in her life. If something is wrong with a friend or family member she shows deep concern and will do anything she can to help. Every time we go away, she makes sure to send postcards and gifts home. I love that about her. Chris has improved my life in small but meaningful ways. She believes that the apartment should be clean and puts a lot of energy into this task. I value our home so much more because of its pristine condition. She loves cooking meals for me and puts so much time and effort into making everything just right. It makes me feel so worthwhile to know that someone is taking such great care of me. Chris is very sensitive.
She can't even hear a news story about violence towards children or animals. Even though we live in a city that has its share of crime she is not numb to the world around her. She is also all about planning our lives so that the people we love are involved. She often thinks about moving into a space that can accommodate our aging parents if need be and one that has room for family to visit for long periods of time. Chris is super smart. Her vocabulary is immense and she is a terrific writer. She knows so much about history, geography and science. However, she never criticizes others or makes them feel less than her. I truly believe that Chris can achieve any goal she sets for herself. She is the most capable person I know. Having her on my team gives me such confidence that we will accomplish great things in our lives. Chris is absolutely beautiful! Her eyes are crystal blue and when I look into them I can see a childlike innocence and wonder. My heart still melts when I think about her beautiful face. I am so blessed to have found her and I will always thank God for making it possible for me to find a woman like her.
Our City Life
We live in a high-rise apartment building in Manhattan. There are kids everywhere! Our
building has it’s own small park with a playground for residents complete with a jungle gym, swings, and a water sprinkler. There is another public park right next door with more of the same. In addition, Central Park is just a few blocks away. Adam plays tennis in the park once a week when the weather is nice and we frequently go there in the afternoons and walk around the reservoir for exercise. We love eating with friends at the different ethnic restaurants the city has to offer. We also enjoy going to concerts, Broadway shows and museums. Adam can’t wait to take his son or daughter to Yankee Stadium for their first baseball game.
Our Country Life
Chris’s parents (and cousins) built country homes on an apple orchard in Upstate, New York. We visit the house on weekends and summers. The country house is a great place to unwind and connect with nature and the changing seasons. Chris has a vegetable garden and of course, Adam has his hammock. With family so close by, we often get together for barbeques and picnics. We also enjoy hiking in the local state park, attending arts and crafts fairs in the area, and going to the regional theatre. In the fall, we have a tradition of going apple picking and on the Friday after Thanksgiving traveling to a local Christmas tree farm to cut down our tree for the holiday. The house is large enough that we can invite our friends and their children to stay for the weekends and share our country retreat.
Schenectady, NY. (PRWEB) June 1, 2009 – Bridge Center of Schenectady, NY has once again had an issue keeping the staff’s advances away from their patients. A recent college graduate, therapist Kelly Mattison, was investigated for allowing her drug addict clients to give her massages during her therapy sessions, often purposely scheduled after 4pm to discourage being seen by fellow staff or directors.
Several recent graduates confirmed that indeed the primary therapist propositioned them, and one patient was sent to another facility for simply requesting a different primary therapist. The program’s current director, Mike Mansky, took measures to separate the patient from their family so as no information regarding what happened could be leaked out. The same patient had their personal money from Bridge Center’s care go missing to which Mansky reported the money was sent back to the county. The money was never reported as having been sent back to Dutchess County, according to the Department of Social Services.
Instances of sexual advances by trained drug counselors to clients at Bridge Center are not a singular instance. The program has had several different program directors these past few years. The liaison for the program of the Road to Recovery client, Tony Horvatin, did not offer the client a full investigation and he had to wait 6 weeks for an additional program to be offered thus disrupting the recovery treatment sequence. Often clients who are convicted drug offenders are brushed under the carpet regarding treatment care, and a high incidence of failure is largely due in part to the client’s needs being ignored while treatment centers cover up sexual conduct, money philandering, and exiled family relationships during their stay.
The percentage of successful recovery rates from these alternative-to-incarceration programs is 15% yearly. State funded treatment facilities have become a lucrative business for those running them as overcrowded prisons have had to make space for more serious offenders. Often the clients arrive at the treatment center with less rights to mail, family visits, money for basic needs or privacy than if held at a county jail. Very few cases of sexual harassment by a therapist to a drug addict have been prosecuted or investigated because the program will go to great lengths to cover up the occurrence to not lose funding. Or in the case of Bridge Center of Schenectady, they’ll simply ship the client back to a county jail.
At time of this story, neither Kelly Mattison or Mike Mansky had been formally investigated by OASAS and currently are still in the care of rehabilitated drug addicts.
