Hi Waterlovers!

I�m looking for people interested in learning how to surf. I have been going to Newport, RI and fell in love with the sport. This made me realize that while living in upstate New York, I was lucky to have the opportunity to spend some amazing autumn weekends not only in the ocean (wore a wetsuit) but in what is arguably the most beautiful city in New England!

I would love to help others experience the sheer exhilaration of surfing and would like to put together a list of anyone interested. Actually, a friend and I would like to bring people out to RI and package up some deals with the hotel we stay at (perfect location, beautiful accommodations which include a rooftop hot tub!), the surf shop we learned from (wetsuits, boards and lessons), and a restaurant we think is outstanding (Mexican- enough said!). We are hoping to get group rates for spring, summer, and fall 2010.

I am looking for another person to go to Weight Watchers in the town center (1704 WESTERN AVE) Albany/Guilderland on Thursdays at 7pm and to occasionally exercise with me. I have had a long history of weight loss up and downs but most recently/one year ago I lost 15lbs on Weight watchers and achieved lifetime membership. Since then (Feb 2009) I stopped going and pretty much stopped following the program. I know the program work for me but doing it day in and out is tiring. I have gained back all 15lbs and probably another 5. I am ready to go back but would really like someone to buddy with me. Hey there.
I'm looking to do some climbing in either the adirondacks or the gunks before the snow falls. And after the snow falls for that matter. I can lead 5.7 maybe 5.8 on gear comfortably. I've started climbing once again after moving back to the area. Used to climb at Poke-o, and some Keene Valley crags pretty regularly a few years ago. I also want to get on some ice this winter, which I have zero experience with. I'm currently not gainfully employed, so I have plenty of schedule flexibility. Have gear, will travel.

Hi. I'm hoping to set aside my quiet, mild-mannered, 20-something, full-time-job persona on Friday night, to assume my alter ego: a neon-tshirt-wearing, glittery-facepaint, trippy-green-skull, insane-glitchy-hipster-dancemusic partyer. And I'm looking for similar people, who want to drink heavily before (+ secretively during) the Dan Deacon "New Nothing" concert at EMPAC in Troy on Friday the 13th. I've seen Dan play a few times before moving to the area, and I can say that when properly sloshed, it's WAY MORE FUN. I don't care how reserved you are when sober; being drunk at the front of Dan's concerts is spiritual, bordering on transcendent. But my local "friends" are either not interested in the concert or not interested in drinking this heavily in public, and I'm not really comfortable getting plastered without a few supportive folks. (This, I hope, means that I'm not an alcoholic.) I'm not really a big drinker except for special events (since leaving college, anyway), but damn, this is a special event in my book.

So what do you say?
I'll supply the bag (removed from the box) of shitty white wine or two PBR 40's apiece; you just need to bring enthusiasm. (And your skinny jeans.)

Even recently unknown drinking buddies are better than totally anonymous drinking buddies, right?
If you're up for it, send me an email explaining some things about yourself and why you're interested. Please don't write if you're seeking sex, lasting friendship, deep intellectual conversation, etc. � those are all things I'm looking for, but not through a posting online.

My name is Mark and i'm the league coordinator for Outstand Results Baseball League. We're two years old... we started in Newburgh and were expanding to the capital area. This is an independent twilight league. We're growing very fast and it's been a lot of fun. This is not AA or AAA baseball, however, it's not beer league softball either. I will be holding tryouts and making the teams in the spring but i'd like to get some names on the roster and meet some guys in the winter to be prepared. If there are any existing teams that want to come into the league that's great. If you want to make up your own team from the guys at work or friends that's fine too, and if your a business owner and you want to sponser a team and call it what you want.... we encourage that as well. Were not looking for professional ball players, however, please be an athlete that knows how to play baseball. The age range is 18 and up and the price to play will be the cost of you uniform plus around $20 bucks a game. This will be a wood bat league and more than likely the money for the season will be asked for up front. This money covers the field, the lights, the unpires, and secondary insurance. There is also a website with the season schedule, stats, scores, and updates.

I'm also seeking out non-playing managers and coaches, and possibly one other person to help me with different league stuff.
